The American Cancer Society Road To Recovery program provides free rides to cancer patients to and from treatment. Trained volunteer drivers donate their time and the use of their personal vehicles to help patients get to the treatments they need.
The American Cancer Society partners with local hotels across the country to provide rooms for cancer patients and their caregivers traveling for treatment. The Hotel Partners Program can help ease some of the financial burdens that cancer patients and their families face.
The American Cancer Society National Cancer Information Center is a 24 hour, 365 days a year call center. NCIC is there to answer any question you have day or night. From understanding a diagnosis, to helping someone find answers on treatments, side effects, dealing with the complexities of health care systems, and the spectrum of cancer care as a patient or a caretaker. We are here to help.
The American Cancer Society conducts nationwide cancer prevention studies, producing the most widely cited reports on cancer occurrence, causes, prevention, early detection, treatment, and survival. Through our research grant program, we also at any one-time support more than 800 independent researchers throughout the country and across cancer types in finding the most effective treatments to cancer and a path towards a cure.
